Design and Sew Your Own Wardrobe
Welcome to KARTÓ – a creative universe where you can design and sew your own clothing and accessories using professional sewing patterns, detailed instructions, and high-quality fabrics.
Our mission is to make it easy and inspiring for women to sew fashionable clothing and bags with great fit and beautiful details. With well-crafted patterns and clear guidance, sewing becomes a rewarding and creative experience. Our patterns are thoughtfully designed and can also be used for upcycling – transform old garments or tablecloths into something unique and personal.
From Children's Clothing in Copenhagen to DIY Fashion
KARTÓ was founded by us, sisters Sus and Gitte, who have been working together in fashion and design for over 20 years. In 2000, we opened a boutique in Copenhagen, designing and sewing children's clothing, later expanding into womenswear. After many exciting years in the city, we wanted to explore a new creative path. This led to DIY Fashion by KARTÓ.
