Felize – modern trousers with effortless elegance
Felize trousers are designed with both comfort and style in mind. They feature an elasticated waist with a smooth front waistband and gathering at the back, creating a comfortable and flattering fit.
The trousers have slanted side pockets and a modern wide-leg silhouette, giving them a stylish and effortless look. The finished trousers have approximately 4–5 cm of ease around the hips, providing comfort without compromising the shape.
Felize can also be made as shorts, making the pattern ideal for the warmer months.
The pattern is available in two size ranges: EU sizes 36–48 and EU sizes 48–58.
Felize is suitable for many different woven fabrics, such as soft viscose, linen or cotton, depending on the drape and look you would like to achieve.

What you will need for the full-length trousers
Woven fabric, 140 cm wide. Remember to allow for shrinkage when washing.
- 2.2 m of fabric for sizes 36–46
- 2.5 m of fabric for sizes 48–54
- 2.6 m of fabric for sizes 56–58
- Elastic, 3 cm wide
- 1.5 m of fusible interfacing tape, 3 cm wide
CHOOSE YOUR SIZE ACCORDING TO YOUR HIP MEASUREMENT
It is important to choose the correct size. Use your hip measurement as your starting point, as the trousers need to fit comfortably over the hips.
The finished trousers have approximately 4–5 cm of ease around the hips.
For the best fit, the waist measurement of the Felize trousers may be 5–6 cm smaller than your hip measurement.
Most fabrics stretch slightly during wear, and as many of us have a soft curve over the hips, you will often still be able to pull the trousers on even when the waist measurement is slightly smaller than your body measurement.
This creates a flattering fit at the waist without compromising comfort.
HIGH OR LOW WAIST IN SIZES 48 - 58
In sizes 48 - 58, you can choose between a high or low waist, allowing you to select the fit that suits you best.
